At UB, we make it as easy as possible to apply for official on-campus housing.

Please note that most housing agreements are for the academic year, while some apartments are available for full-year housing.
Fall housing for new and incoming transfer students is assigned based on the date you completed your housing application, including signed housing agreement, your $150 tuition deposit (if applicable), and your $300 housing deposit. You will have the opportunity to enter preferences for:
UB offers many different types of housing, from traditional dormitory-style rooms to on-campus apartments (some of which offer full-year housing agreements). Your eligibility to live in each of these communities depends on a number of factors, including your high school graduation date. Current UB students are given first preference to select apartments, so availability for new students is limited in these areas.
New student assignments occur during the summer and move-in information will be available in early August.
If you apply after the deposit window has closed, you will be directed to apply through the waitlist.

Want to stay in your current room or apartment assignment? Students in eligible locations will also be able to renew their current space for the upcoming year by making a deposit by March 10. If you renew your housing during this step, you’re all set for next year. Please note that not all spaces are renewable, and that new roommates may not be pulled in during this process.

We offer housing on both North and South Campus. While we cannot guarantee that you will receive housing for your specific room or campus request, we find that students enjoy the unique atmosphere, environment and living experience that each campus offers.
