Village and Area Offices Winter Break Hours

Our Village and Area Offices will be closed from December 24, 2025 at 2 p.m. through Monday, January 5, 2026 at 8 a.m. There will be very limited staffing and resources available on campus during this time.

If you are staying for break, please be sure to carry your UB ID and your keys any time you leave your assignment to prevent accidental lockouts. Please note that response time for lockouts may be as long as 30–45 minutes due to reduced staffing and travel time.

If you call for assistance to enter your building and/or apartment and later realize you no longer need help, please call back to let staff know that you do not need assistant. Some staff may be traveling from a different campus to assist you, and this courtesy helps us redirect resources where they are needed.

If you decide to return early from break, we strongly recommend signing up several hours (if possible, days) in advance. This will ensure your UB ID is activated and ready by the time you arrive on campus. You can sign up for break housing on the Housing Portal. 

After December 18, break housing applications are only processed during business hours. Depending on the timing of your application, you may not gain swipe access back into the building until the following business day.
