Ethan Christian Memorial Award Fund

Students and staff with the Nursing program demonstrate physical distancing and face covering best practices while working in a clinic setting in Wende Hall in July 2020.

Honoring a former nursing student, this fund supports outstanding students in the School of Nursing.

The Ethan Christian Memorial Award Fund was established by Dean and Patricia Christian in order to honor the memory of their son Ethan, UB School of Nursing Class of 2012.

The fund provides an annual award to an outstanding student who demonstrates exceptional care, compassion and excellence in the practice of nursing in the School of Nursing.

Ethan graduated Magna Cum Laude from UB, was president of the Nursing Student Organization, and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the national nursing honor society. He worked as a Registered Nurse in the Trauma ICU at the Erie County Medical Center.

Nominations may come from any source, including students.

For more than 80 years, UB Nursing has provided high-quality nursing education and conducted real-world research.
