RED Support Fund

Wooden structures created by freshman architecture students as part of a yearlong design-build studio are on display at Artpark in Lewiston.

Our Real Estate Development program receives financial support through this fund.

The RED (Real Estate Development) Fund provides operational or research support and enhancements to the Real Estate Development program within UB’s School of Architecture and Planning. This program prepares students for careers in real estate development and investment, or to advance in their careers if they already are employed in real estate.

The real estate industry is one of the world’s most dynamic and influential industries, and professionals create places where people live, work, and play, develop local economies, and shape cities and the built environment.

At UB, the Real Estate Development program features instruction from experienced developers and real estate professionals who are thought leaders, experts, and dealmakers. Many courses engage the resurgent City of Buffalo, a vibrant laboratory for applied study in proximity to global financial and employment centers.

Within the program, students explore complex trends and innovation in this rapidly evolving industry, including place-making and urban design, affordable housing and community development, suburban transformation, sustainability and resiliency, and the effects of technological changes in the workplace.
