Emergency Fund

Lab of Microbiology & Immunology Professor Terry Connell.

Medical students who are experiencing an unexpected hardship receive support through this fund.

The Emergency Fund is available to students whose unexpected financial circumstances could impact their ability to remain enrolled in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Hardships may include, but are not limited to, sudden medical expenses, an illness or death in the family that requires unplanned transportation, or similar issues. Funds are intended to provide short-term relief to the student; the amount varies depending on the student’s unique situation and the severity of the emergency.

In the world of medicine, there is always more that we can do. More physicians we can train. More discoveries we can make. More lives we can save. Now, even as we celebrate all we have recently achieved, we continue to look forward to the possibilities ahead. Bold ambitions require big investments—and generous support. Together, we will continue to build on our shared success and lead the way toward the future of medicine.
