BOCA (Buffalo Outreach and Community Assistance) Fund

Hayes Hall.

This fund supports a student-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people around the world.

UB Dental BOCA promotes dental education and provides free dental care to underserved patients in Buffalo-Niagara, throughout the United States and across the globe.

We support communities by participating in health fairs and dental screening programs, as well as volunteering at non-dental outreach events. Our goal is to address both the oral healthcare needs and the socioeconomic needs of the communities we serve. Our work has included volunteering at a soup kitchen, educating people about oral health, and collecting school supplies for children.

For dental missions, we strive to provide the dental care most needed by a particular community, including dental screenings, surgical extractions, restorative dental work and dental hygiene.

Thanks in part to the generosity of our donors, we have provided the equivalent of millions of dollars in free dental work.

While patients the most important beneficiaries of our dental work, our dental students also gain insight into lives that are often less privileged than their own, and have the opportunity to do extraordinary amounts of dental work.
