Helen Simoneau Danse will come to UB for a 3-week residency in order to create a new dance work while integrating the University of Buffalo students in all stages of the process as well as offering the larger dance community an inside view to their creation and methodologies. (Read more...)

The goal is to intersect and engage with the University of Buffalo students and the Buffalo Community by demystifying the choreographic process and giving participants an entry point into the ways choreographers and dancers generate dance material. Simoneau works in a task-based process where the dancers are active collaborators. These tasks would be shared with the community through master classes and workshops. The project will include undergraduates and graduate students as well as the Buffalo dance community.
