In celebration of this historic moment for the university, a unique set of marks is available for use in communications through June 2022.
Four versions of the 175th anniversary graphic are available for use with the horizontal, stacked, secondary and SUNY-modifier master brand marks in blue, gray, black and white. 175 pertains to the university as a whole and is not to be used in a fashion that would be confused with an individual unit or school (with the exception of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences). Therefore, the anniversary graphic cannot be used in combination with any brand extension or sub-brand lockups. It should also never be separated from the master brand lockups shown here.
No other orientations or changes to these marks are permitted. Additionally, taglines should not be used in association with the commemoration of this anniversary.

When using one of the 175th anniversary lockups, maintain a space equal to the height of the interlocking UB around the entire lockup construction.
Also available for download are additional visuals with and without a tinted flame of wisdom in the background. These visuals are permitted for use only on printed collateral, merchandise and environmental applications.
Versions without the background graphic are available in blue, white or gray.
When using this visual, please include space equal to at least one interlocking UB around its perimeter. This graphic should not appear in close proximity to other marks in a way that could be misconstrued as a lockup or dual identity.
Please do not create any new digital elements to show on your website. University Communications soon will be introducing a visual approach for honoring the anniversary across the entirety of the university’s top-level web ecosystem, with corresponding usage guidance for other sites.
As plans for commemorating the university’s 175th anniversary are further developed, additional graphic elements and resources such as letterhead, digital displays and Zoom backgrounds may be added to this page, so please check back regularly.
Questions on how to use these graphics on merchandise or other communications materials should be directed to University Communications.
