UB’s leading shot putter, Jonathan Jones, can throw the 16-pound metal ball more than 60 feet. And he doesn’t have to yell, “Fore!”

Instead of sitting on a beach sipping margaritas over spring break, the men’s lacrosse club team traveled more than 2,800 miles in eight days, finishing 4-1.

Every week the women’s track distance team runs a combined 1,600 miles in practice, far enough for this herd of athletes to make it to Denver.

After spinning and flipping in mid-air, the hard-headed members of the UB diving team hit the water at around 20 mph.
