Laura Parnes
The two-part installation and screening of Tour Without End by Buffalo-born video artist, Laura Parnes, had a dual goal of providing a long overdue showcase in Buffalo of this influential artist, and establishing a strong connection and collaboration with sister institution, Burchfield Penney Art Center.
The exhibition at the Burchfield Penney Art Center opened on September 13 and runs until January 5, 2020, with a strong turnout numbering over 200 guests. UB Arts Collaboratory—in partnership with the Humanities Institute and UB Department of Media Study—hosted a screening and Q&A on October 25 at UB Center for the Arts, with 50 students and faculty attending.
The Tour Without End installation next travels to London’s Institute of Contemporary Art.
