Description

Join us for a kirtan session led by Ravi Padmanabha with musical accompaniment by David Mussen, part of a year-long series of programs curated by Contextual Programming Resident Gaitrie Subryan to enhance and provide context for our exhibitions. Kirtan is a traditional practice of communal, call-and-response chanting and musical devotion rooted in ancient India. Padmanabha will lead participants through mantras set to the harmonium, drums, and other acoustic instruments, creating a welcoming space for collective meditation and joyful expression. No musical or singing experience is needed. Come listen, sing along, or simply sit with the sound.

Seating is on the floor, so wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. A cushion or yoga mat is optional.
