About Donna DeCarolis
Donna L. DeCarolis was named President of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation, National Fuel’s Utility subsidiary, in February 2019. Prior to that, since 2007, she held the title of Vice President of Business Development for National Fuel Gas Company. During her more than 35-year tenure with the Company, DeCarolis has managed a number of different business areas, including corporate Investor Relations, Utility Customer Quality Assurance, Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Utility Energy Marketing, Government Affairs, Utility Consumer Business/Customer Service as well as having previously been president of several of the Company’s non-regulated business entities.

As an active participant in economic, cultural, and educational nonprofits, DeCarolis serves on numerous boards in leadership roles, including as Vice Chair of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Immediate past Chairperson and Vice Chair of The Business Council of New York State, and as Immediate past President for Buffalo’s Frank Lloyd Wright Martin House. In 2019, DeCarolis was named the second appointment to the New York State Climate Action Council, a 22-member body created in statute under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. The Council was charged with developing a plan to reach New York State’s 2030 and 2050 greenhouse gas emission reduction goals and spent three years developing a final scoping plan, issued December 2022. She is a board member of the Buffalo Sabres Foundation, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for Niagara University, a member of the University at Buffalo School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council and the Society of Gas Lighting. DeCarolis is a past board chairperson for Shea’s O’Connell Preservation Guild as well as for Leadership Buffalo, of which she is also a graduate. DeCarolis holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business administration from the University at Buffalo. She resides in Buffalo with her husband.
