Learn more about a day in the life of the Registered Dietitian at GBUAHN (Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network) and understand further the importance of addressing mental, spiritual, and physical health. As the Registered Dietitian and Director of GBUAHN’s wellness department, Deanna Gallicchio, MS '19, CAS '19, BA '14, develops programs that not only create awareness and motivation but also provides tools to employees and members that help them treat/prevent chronic diseases as well as adapt and maintain a well-rounded healthy lifestyle.

About Deanna Gallicchio
Deanna Gallicchio graduated with her Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition from UB while obtaining 1200 hours of supervised practice in her dietetic internship. Her rotations included institutional food service, community wellness, government agencies, outpatient counselling, long-term care, clinical nutrition, renal nutrition, pediatric nutrition, and research. Deanna conducted nutrition assessments, nutrition focused physical exams, and nutrition education and also calculated individual nutrient needs as well as initiated and managed EN and TPN feeds. She also created numerous nutrition workshops and coordinated numerous health fairs. Her goal is to share and spread her love and passion for nutrition, fitness, mindfulness, and self-love.
