Join Nicole McDaniels, BS '07, a celiac mom and biologist, to learn about health conditions related to gluten consumption as well as how to properly eat gluten free at home and when dining out. Topics discussed will include reading food labels, avoiding cross contamination, tasty gluten free food options, and support groups.

About Nicole McDaniels
Nicole Lynn McDaniels, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Biology Department at Hamilton College. She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University at Buffalo. She completed her Ph.D. in Biology and earned a Certificate in University Teaching at Syracuse University. Nicole is also a mother of two, including a daughter with celiac disease. Using her background in biology and personal experience caring for a celiac child, Nicole aims to promote and lead discussions related to understanding celiac disease and gluten free eating. She hopes to educate, raise awareness for and bring together those in the gluten free community. In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading, dancing, and spending time with her family.
