Investing in Landscape as Essential Infrastructure
This webinar advances the practice of Landscape Architecture as one of Landscape Infrastructure: economically, environmentally, and socially performing structures and systems that serve cities, neighborhoods, and communities. Beginning with Frederick Law Olmsted’s 19th century design for the Emerald Necklace in Boston—a system that moves people, water, and waste—and ending with contemporary examples relevant to the campuses of UB, we explore and explain how our field is more than beautification.
