About Lauren Ashburn
Lauren Ashburn, LMSW, MSW '16, is the Senior Associate Director of Grassroots Advocacy at the Alzheimer's Association, where she leads nationwide efforts to mobilize communities and influence policy at every level of government. With a foundation as a Licensed Master Social Worker, Lauren brings a unique perspective that blends clinical understanding with strategic advocacy. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Buffalo State College and her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University at Buffalo, specializing in Aging through the Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education. Lauren began her career supporting individuals and families affected by dementia through direct care and education. Over the past decade at the Alzheimer's Association, she has advanced from local program leadership to national advocacy strategy, spearheading initiatives that expand access to care, strengthen volunteer engagement, and drive legislative change.
