After more than 60 years of work at the intersection of medicine and education in more than 40 countries, Jason co-founded iMedtrust.org, a registered educational charity in England and Wales. The initiative is devoted to finding ways to help reduce the human devastation that derives from inadequate access to quality health care that affects a billion people globally. He has devoted his career to finding ways to help enhance and humanize teaching and practice in the health professions, including completing two of the largest known studies of medical teaching. Jason is the former editor of Education for Health: Change in Learning and Practice. He and his wife, Jane Westberg, PhD, have co-authored six academic books on aspects of education in the health profession. Jason has held professorships at five American medical schools and is clinical professor of family medicine at the University of Colorado. He was the founding director of the Office of Medical Education Research and Development at Michigan State University and the Division of Faculty Development at the Association of American Medical Colleges.
