High-Dimensional Data and Dynamical Systems (HD3S)

Principal Investigator:

Abstract

Network construction and inference from data.

We are developing new methodologies and theories, and collaboriting with domain experts to address real-world applications. The work narrowly focuses on analyzing network-based models for complex systems and data; however, the applications (e.g., systems biology, social networks, transportation systems, cybersecurity) and mathematical techniques (e.g., numerical analysis, linear algebra, dynamical systems, probability, statistics, computational topology, statistics, statistical physics and machine learning) studied can be very diverse. Motivated by the observation that network science and data science are crossroads for numerous application areas and mathematical branches, much of the research aims to bring emerging applied-math topics to new application domains.
