Biography

Dr. Chen Wang is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), State University of New York at Buffalo, USA.  Before that, he was a Project Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).  He obtained his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and B.Eng from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China. He is currently an Associate Editor of IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L). His research interests include robotic perception, vision, and learning.  He is also interested in all aspects of algorithm development, including creating efficient algorithms, proving their theoretical properties, distributing them to open-source communities, and validating them on real-world robots.
