An AFP Fact Check story about fake pictures circulating on social media of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris celebrating the indictment of former President Donald Trump quotes Siwei Lyu, SUNY Empire Innovation Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Lyu said the images include signs that suggest they were generated by artificial intelligence.
“The second image is clearly created with generation models such as Midjourney v5,” Lyu told AFP. “Note that Harris' hand has six fingers — the current generation models seem to have trouble getting the hands created correctly.”
