Self-driving lab used to improve nanocrystal understanding

Control Engineering reports that UB researcher Kristofer Reyes and researchers from North Carolina State University have developed and demonstrated a “self-driving lab” that uses artificial intelligence and fluidic systems to advance understanding of metal halide perovskite nanocrystals.

This self-driving lab can also be used to investigate a broad array of other semiconductor and metallic nanomaterials.

The work is based on a paper published in Advanced Intelligent Systems. Reyes is an assistant professor in the Department of Materials Design and Innovation.
