Dry chemical and CO2 fire extinguishers are installed and maintained in all state buildings on each campus.
Monthly fire extinguisher inspections are performed by an outside contractor. Annual inspections are conducted by Environment, Health & Safety staff who also performs all service work associated with fire extinguishers including re-filling, replacing, remounting and hydro-testing. The number of fire extinguishers maintained changes as new extinguishers are added and old extinguishers are removed from services.
