NYSLRS Members Can Manage Benefits Online

Members of the New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS) can access and manage their retirement information online using Retirement Online.

Why Should I Use Retirement Online?

Retirement Online gives NYSLRS members a convenient and secure way to review their benefits and conduct transactions in real time. In many cases, members can use Retirement Online instead of sending forms through the mail or calling NYSLRS.

With Retirement Online, members can:

  • View benefit information
  • Update contact information
  • Manage beneficiaries
  • Apply for a loan
  • View current loan and service credit purchase balances

NYSLRS has incorporated several security measures into Retirement Online similar to those used by financial institutions, making it safe to use.

How To Register For An Account

Members should visit the NYSLRS website to learn more about Retirement Online, and take a few minutes to create a new account.

When registering for an account, you’ll be asked a series of questions to verify your identity. The questions are provided by a trusted third-party source, and NYSLRS does not store the questions or your answers. It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer to access Retirement Online.

If you have any questions or need help completing the registration process, please call the NYSLRS Contact Center at 1-866-805-0990 or 518-474-7736 and select option 1 to get help for Retirement Online. Contact Center representatives are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 4:15 pm.
