During this time of remote learning, our goal is to support writers in a diversity of ways, to accommodate individual circumstances. Should you have any questions or unique needs, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
All online consultations are accessed through our scheduling platform. Please note that our main consultation service is an interactive one, so expect to talk with your consultant about your draft.
Individual consultations: These 45 minute appointments start at the top of the hour. You meet with your consultant via video/audio and can share your document with the consultant on the whiteboard. We have Phd, MA and Undergraduate level consultants. If you are a graduate student or working on high stakes application materials, make sure you are working with the appropriate graduate level consultant (MA or PhD). Can be scheduled up to 15 minutes before appointment starting time. Click here for more information about online appointments.
½ hour individual consultations: Do you have just a quick question or a very short document? Schedule a shorter appointment with one of our writing consultants. Can be scheduled up to 15 minutes before appointment starting time.
Walk in appointments: We do get “booked up” sometimes. That’s why we offer some walk-in hours that aren’t scheduled ahead of time. Look for the “walk in” line on the schedule.
E-tutoring: While our main purpose is to talk out feedback with writers, we recognize that not everyone can work synchronously with a consultant. In these instances, we have e-tutoring in which you can upload your draft, and our consultant will provide you feedback within 2-3 business days (depending upon how many e-tutoring requests we have.) This is a service mainly for undergraduate papers. It is not a proofreading service. It is not a way to get your Master’s Thesis edited, for example. Find our e-tutoring line on the WCOnline schedule, book the service, and upload your document. Your document with be returned to you via email with comments within 2-3 business days.
