We apply our expertise to:

  • Coordinate communications efforts across the university
  • Steward UB's core messages and brand identity
  • Plan and manage university-wide communications programs to meet the needs of internal and external audiences
  • Respond to issues, and communicate during emergencies
  • Foster communications among collaborators in all university units by:
    • Providing consultation and expert advice
    • Establishing and sharing editorial and visual standards, tools and templates, via the online Communications Toolbox
    • Coordinating the Communicators Network, a professional development group with 200 members
    • Leading, coaching, and providing direct support for units engaged in the campus-wide Digital Communications Transformation (including user support for the UBCMS)
  • Develop media relationships with journalists and other opinion-shapers, and engage them in helping tell UB's story accurately
  • Manage UB's trademarks and licensing program
  • Develop strategic communications plans for units and initiatives
  • Assess and implement emerging communications technologies
  • Conduct formative and evaluative communications research
