Jake's training has opened the doors to leadership opportunities
all across campus. Through his training at UB, he has developed an
unexpected skill that is sure to be a valuable asset in his career
and life: leadership.
When Viva's father had a stroke back home in India, we helped
him be there for his family through our emergency assistance
program. The program provides financial support to students who
experience a sudden change of circumstances.
Career Services helped Amy network with peers, build a portfolio
and get ready for life after graduation. Amy enthusiastically
credits her experience with Career Services for significantly
impacting her personal growth, academic success and most
importantly, her confidence.
“I always wanted to do volunteer work," says Boma, who
gets the chance to help others through the Alternative Break
Program. The Alternative Break Program also allowed her to
experience new cities while giving back through service
Leadership House, a learning living community, gave Kristina the
opportunity to live, learn and grow in a nurturing
environment. Kristina had access to opportunities for academic
and social experiences that enhanced her personal development.
Some of the most valuable lessons are learned outside of the
classroom. With the demands of his major, it would have been nearly
impossible for John to study abroad and still graduate in four
years. Flexible programs let John travel abroad — and
still stay on track to graduate in four years.
