Malcolm L. Kushner, B.A. 1974

Malcolm L. Kushner, B.A. 1974, has helped thousands of managers, executives and professionals—along with such corporate clients as IBM, Sony and AT&T—learn how to use humor for a competitive edge in business.

Kushner co-created the humor exhibit at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and is the writer, narrator and publisher of Leading with Laughter, a six-audiocassette series that highlights the humor of Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush. His newest book, Vintage Humor for Wine Lovers, was published in November 2002.

Kushner graduated from UB summa cum laude with a degree in speech communication, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a law degree from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law.

Even with profiles of his career appearing in such publications as Time, USA Today and the New York Times, Kushner says his most important accomplishment was appearing on The Gong Show without being "gonged." He lives in Santa Cruz, CA.
