Individuals interested in learning the basics of a company's financial statements and how to interpret them for everyday use can now do so, thanks to a Smart Business Practices seminar, hosted by the School of Management Alumni Association (SOMAA), from 8-11 a.m. June 5 in 104 Alfiero Center, North Campus.
“Understanding Financial Statements: The Basics,” will be presented by Muriel T. Anderson, associate professor in the UB Department of Accounting and Law.
The seminar is targeted specifically toward a nonfinancial audience and is relevant for managers, small business owners, nonprofit organizations and anyone else with an interest in understanding financials.
The cost of the seminar is $40 for SOMAA members, $45 for nonprofit representatives and $50 for all others. Continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m.
