“Fight Club: Politics, Law and Art,” an exhibition curated by second-year MFA student Mark Snyder, opens with a reception from 4:30-7 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Lower Visual Studies Gallery, B45 Center for the Arts, North Campus.
The exhibition features works by select local, national, and international artists, including the Guerrilla Girls, Regina José Galindo, Carol Leigh, Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens, as well as UB graduate students Patrick Foran and Jennifer Gradecki.
Each artist, Snyder says, “produces works that expose invisible power structures and hierarchies, marking them for the public to see and confront.”
The exhibition will be on view through Jan. 25. The basement gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
