Members of the UB community can register to be part of the UB Spirit team for the Ride for Roswell on June 25.

UB again is hosting the annual bicycle ride to help raise funds in support of cancer research and patient treatment at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Faculty, staff and students interested in joining the UB Spirit team should register online. UB will waive the $20 registration fee for the first 150 riders to join the UB Spirit team, providing the rider raises a minimum of $150 in pledges.

Participants in the Ride for Roswell can choose to take part in routes ranging from 3 to 100 miles, each of which begins and ends at Baird Point on the North Campus. After the ride, UB community members and friends are invited to celebrate at the UB tent at Baird Point.

A Celebration of Hope rally against cancer and celebration of the survivors, patients and those working at Roswell Park to fight cancer will take place from 4-8 p.m. June 24 in the Alumni Arena lot on the North Campus.

The event is free and open to the public.

Volunteers also are needed to staff the ride on June 25.
