Activists challenge gender violence in Pakistan.
Shelley Myer, senior assistant librarian
Shelley A. Myer, senior assistant librarian in Central Technical Services, University Libraries, died unexpectedly on Monday while undergoing a medical test. She was 37.
Myer joined the libraries in 2001 as a cataloger in Central Technical Services, specializing in material for the Health Sciences Library, including material for the Robert L. Brown History of Medicine Collection, said John Edens, acting university archivist.
She held master's degrees in sociology and librarianship from Rutgers University.
A private service will be held in Virginia, with a memorial service planned at UB at a later date.
