The series capturing the fervor of small African-American congregations on Buffalo's East Side was the first major effort for Rogovin, a nationally recognized documentary photographer. Charles Bernstein, David Gray Professor of Poetry and Letters and the author of more than 22 books and critical essays, is appearing in a series of advertising spots for the "Yellow Pages" that are being shown on national television, including during many of the top sports events.
