Do I have to worry about Year 2000 if I have a Mac?

All Macintosh hardware and operating systems are Year 2000 compliant, at least until 2040 or so. However, software applications and the files associated with them may not be Y2K compliant and therefore need to be checked. For more information, check out Apple's Year 2000 Web site at http://www.apple.com/macos/info/2000.html.

If I have UNIX, do I have to worry about Year 2000?

UNIX hardware is Y2K compliant until 2020 or so. However, the application software and files may not be Y2K compliant and should be checked. For more information on UNIX and Y2K, visit UB's Web site at http://tks.buffalo.edu/y2k/info.html#OS.
