Brushing Up for Buffalo

 UB creates Institute for Local Governance, Regional Growth
Responding to renewed public focus on governance and regionalism, UB has announced the creation of the Institute for Local Governance and Regional Growth to assist area governments and promote regional opportunity throughout the Western New York area.

New dean at GSE, Mitchell to succeed Petrie
The appointment of Jacquelyn Mitchell as dean of the Graduate School of Education has been announced by UB President William R. Greiner. Mitchell is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Laboratory of Comparative Human Cognition at the University of California, San Diego. Her appointment, made on the recommendation of Provost Thomas E. Headrick, is effective July 1.

Black, Gresham to succeed Palmer, Sheffer; Winter to leave UB for Pitt
Dennis R. Black will become interim vice president for student affairs and Mary Harley Gresham will serve as interim vice president for public service and urban affairs, effective Aug. 1.
