Mann is Sunrise speaker

The application of technology for persons with disabilities will be the focus of the next UB at SUNRISE program to be held at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Center for Tomorrow on UB's North Campus.

"A Look at UB's Center for Assistive Technology" will be presented by William C. Mann, chair of UB's Department of Occupational Therapy and director of the Center for Assistive Technology.

Established as a multidisciplinary center in 1987, the Center for Assistive Technology is internationally recognized for its research, education and device development work. Mann will present an overview of the center's research and services, and show slides of assistive technology in action.

UB at SUNRISE is a series of breakfast programs produced by the UB Alumni Association and UB's Office of Conferences and Special Events, News Services and Office of Publications. It also is supported by the Office of University Development and Office for Public Service and Urban Affairs. The Buffalo Marriott is corporate sponsor of UB at SUNRISE.

The price of the program, which will include a full breakfast, is $10 for UB Alumni Association members and $12 for all others.
