  • Computer recycling day set

    Members of the UB community can dispose of their old computers and other electronics at a free computer and electronics recycling event May 2 and 3 on the North Campus.

    Material will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 2 and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 3 in the Center for Tomorrow parking lot.

    Accepted materials include computer devices, monitors, televisions, networking devices, printers, audio/video equipment, communication devices, lab/test and measurement devices, power supplies, microwaves, wire/cabling, computer hardware, computer batteries and telecommunication devices.

    Materials that will not be accepted for recycling include home appliances, light bulbs and lamps, gas-powered and lawn equipment, household hazardous waste, liquids and batteries.

  • Group fitness classes offered

    Intramurals and Recreation is offering a full slate of aerobics and biking classes for the summer, with classes held in both Alumni Arena on the North Campus and in Clark Hall on the South Campus.

    The price is $60 for faculty and staff, $40 for students and $65 for members of the community. A single-class pass is $5.

    The passes provide access to an unlimited number of grop fitness classes. Memberships or recreation passes are not needed unless participants plan to use areas of Alumni Arena or Clark Hall other than the group fitness classes.

    Bulk passes, which include summer 2012, fall 2012 and spring 2013 group fitness classes, are $144 for faculty and staff, $100 for students and $156 for community members.

    Passes may be purchased in 130 Alumni Arena and 113 Clark Hall.
