  • What strikes me most is that the plan is being followed through by our administration and things are happening. Buildings are being built, infrastructure is changing and our UB culture is changing. In addition, we have the support from local companies and the City of Buffalo, and that’s a good thing.

  • Four items really impressed me. First, it was gratifying and exciting to see such a well-organized plan after being one of many stakeholders involved in early planning. Secondly, I loved the description of the plan as a living document with a commitment to sustain it, regardless of how long it takes. Third, the plan enables the three distinct but interdisciplinary campuses and the community to be directly interlinked physically, philosophically, pedagogically and socially, which will contribute to the city’s economic development. Fourth, I was thrilled to see the arts play a central role, including a public art program that will improve the campus landscape.

  • The thoughtful planning of the physical environment at UB, and efforts to seek out design excellence, construct sustainable buildings and create elegant spaces on campus and in the city are inspiring—and vital for our future.
