Jacqueline Ghosen, assistant dean and director of communications, School of Management, was named president-elect and Barbara Byers, associate director of communications in the Office of Alumni Relations, was selected a director at large by the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

The Buffalo District Office of the U. S. Small Business Administration has recognized Henry L. Taylor Jr., professor, School of Architecture and Planning, and director, Center for Urban Studies, as the Minority Small Business Champion of the Year.

Howard Wolf, professor emeritus of English and senior fellow, recently lectured in Berlin and Bonn, Germany, under auspices of the U. S. Embassy in Berlin.

Sebastian G. Ciancio, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor and chair of the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics, School of Dental Medicine, was installed as president of the International Academy of Periodontology at the organization’s annual meeting last month in Agra, India. Ciancio also was a featured speaker at that meeting, speaking on perio-chemotherapeutics for the 21st century.
