  • The Massachusetts Avenue Project has done amazing things for local food, farms and people, so they undoubtedly fill the top spot on my list. I also must mention the glazed goodness at Famous Doughnuts on Main Street and the pleasantly hoppy Bird of Prey IPA from the Flying Bison Brewing Company.

  • My favorite local food would have to be a beef on weck sandwich, especially one from Charlie the Butcher. Unless you’re a vegetarian, how could you not love this? Slow-roasted beef on a kummelweck roll. I’m going to go get one now.
