My favorite restaurant, O’Connell’s American Bistro on Kenmore Avenue, has a Sunday BOGO special—two dinner entrees for $25. At Cecelia’s Ristorante on Elmwood Avenue, there’s a Tuesday night special: two three-course meals for $40. And at Ristorante Lombardo on Hertel Avenue, you can enjoy a three-course dinner for $30 on Monday through Thursday.

The best dinner specials in Western New York can usually be found at one of the area’s many Italian restaurants. One of my favorites is at La Costa Verde, a family-owned restaurant on Transit Road in Depew, where you can get your choice of chicken, eggplant or veal parmesan, along with two choices of lasagna, stuffed shells or ziti. It comes with soup or salad, and all for around $15. It usually takes me two meals to eat it all.

Kabob and Curry Express on Main Street in University Heights is a great deal for the Indian-food novice and expert alike. They offer three different daily specials from $6.99 through $8.99 that allow you to choose two main dishes and includes basmati rice and naan. We have enjoyed a filling dinner for four from K&C Express for under $20!

The Clarence Grille and Rathskellar (corner of Main and Strickler Rd) has different dinner specials all the time. There must be 3 or 4 different specials any night of the week. The portions are very generous and they have an all-you-can-eat soup bar. Yummy!

Another WNY culinary jewel, Daniel's Restaurant in Hamburg, offers a prix fixe menu - appetizer, entree, desert and glass of wine - for just $28 Tuesday through Thursday!
