Self-nominate for UUP discretionary increase
UB faculty and staff who are members of United University Professions (UUP) may nominate themselves to receive a 2009 discretionary salary increase.
The 2007-11 agreement between the State of New York and United University Professions provides for distribution of a one-percent discretionary pool in 2009.
Employees who were members of UUP as of June 30, 2009—including all full- and part-time faculty and professional staff—are eligible to be recommended for a discretionary salary increase.
The discretionary award will be based on performance for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. The primary criterion is true excellence in performance. Discretionary salary increases also can provide redress for salary inequities.
The increases will be paid in fall 2009.
Those interested should forward their self-nominations to their department chair or director by Sept. 4.
