I love the patio at La Tee Da in Allentown (206 Allen St., Buffalo). It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a wonderful meal and bottle of wine. And the best part is that on chilly evenings, Mary, the owner, will bring you a fleece blanket to keep your legs warm. Talk about great service!

I would say the Swannie House (170 Ohio St., Buffalo), down by the harbor at the foot of the Michigan Street bridge.

My husband and I live in University Heights, so we like to walk up to Shango on Main Street (3260 Main) on warm summer nights. There are so many great spots in the city, especially along Hertel Avenue—like Romeo & Juliet’s Bakery and Café (1292 Hertel)—and, of course, Elmwood.

This is a drive but worth it. The Ellicotville Brew Pub has a beautiful and private patio complete with a fire pit, and a wonderful Shepard's Pie. There isn't a thing on the menu we haven't loved. Best enjoyed after a day of hiking the surrounding parks and mountain trails.

Ristorante Lombardo on Hertel Avenue is an outstanding restaurant with a beautiful patio dining space in front of the restaurant. It's intimate and nicely landscaped. The plantings help buffer the noise and fumes from vehicles on the street.

The city's best patio dining experience, and arguably some of the city's best cuisine, can be had at The Rue Franklin. The Rue Franklin is discreetly located on Franklin between West Tupper and Edward Streets. The Rue's back patio is legendary for its quaint, private, and well landscaped atmosphere. Confident brevity in the Rue's design in refelcted in its promotion. Phenomenal.
