Municipalities should address legacy costs
To the Editor:
Regarding the UB Reporter article “Local governments must address legacy costs,” I find it amazing that municipalities "forget" about these expenses in their budgets.
It is striking that some municipalities have kept a handle on these costs, while others have dropped the ball. Where is the foresight and planning?
I think retirees should not lose their benefits due to poor management of the budget.
