The start of a new academic year can only mean one thing besides full parking lots and bustling hallways: the UB Bulls are back for another exciting season on the gridiron.

The tailgate concert series, T-shirts, giveaways, and other family-friendly activities are just a few ways for fans to enjoy home games.

For the younger fans of the blue and white, Bulls’ excitement continues with the Jr. Bulls Kids Club, a program that offers a special fan experience year-round for children in eighth grade and younger with free admission and game-day activities.

“The Jr. Bulls Kids Club is a great way for our local youth to get involved with UB Athletics,” says Zachary McTigue, associate director of marketing for athletics. “All members get free admission to all UB Athletics home games, a free T-shirt, draw-string backpack and membership cards, and they are invited to special events throughout the year.”

The membership card acts as a personalized season ticket, giving Jr. Bulls access to all home sporting events, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and wrestling.

Kids take their membership cards to the ticket office, where the card is punched and they receive a free general admission ticket to the game.

On game days, kids can wear their T-shirts and draw-string backpacks to show off their UB pride. And Jr. Bulls can take part in special activities before and during games.

“Besides the cool swag bag given to all our members, they get opportunities that most fans don’t,” says McTigue. “We have taken our Jr. Bulls on the field for the high five tunnels at football and basketball games; other members have been chosen to participate in in-game promotions, as well as private pizza parties before basketball games.”

Jr. Bulls also receive a newsletter and a birthday card from UB mascot Victor E. Bull.

Membership costs $30 per child for the 2016-17 year; children can be enrolled online throughout the season.
