Bestselling novelist and social commentator Walter Mosley will present the keynote address at UB’s 37th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Event, to be held at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the Center for the Arts, North Campus.

Mosley is one of the most powerful and prolific writers working today in any genre. He is the author of more than 35 books, ranging from crime novels to literary fiction, nonfiction, political essays, young adult books and science fiction.

In conjunction with Mosley’s appearance at UB, the University Libraries will present an exhibit titled “The Works of Walter Mosley: Making It Look Easy.”

The exhibit will highlight Mosley’s wide-ranging literary output of mysteries, including his popular Easy Rawlins detective series, his non-genre literary novels and science fiction titles, as well as his numerous nonfiction works focusing on such issues as race, class and economic inequality.

“The Works of Walter Mosley: Making It Look Easy” will be located in the lobby of Lockwood Memorial Library and may be viewed from Feb. 21 through April 30 during regular library hours.
