Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is the topic for this year’s Genteels' Excellence in Teaching Conference on Nov. 26.

The conference, sponsored by the Center for Educational Innovation, will be held in the Student Union Theater, North Campus.

Eric J. Moore, UDL and accessibility specialist at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will deliver the keynote address, in which he will talk about why UDL, a research-based design framework that addresses and celebrates student diversity proactively, matters at UB today.

The keynote, open to faculty, staff and graduate students, will be held from 1-1:45 p.m.; Moore also will present a workshop, for faculty only, from 2-4 p.m. in the Faculty Collaboration Studio, 6 Norton Hall, North Campus.

The keynote and workshop are free of charge; register online.
