Share your Thanksgiving with international students

UB faculty and staff can share their Thanksgiving traditions — and at the same time make connections with members of UB’s diverse international community — by taking part in the third annual “Thanksgiving Without Borders” program.

The goal of the program, sponsored by the offices of International Student and Scholar Services and the Vice Provost for Equity and Inclusion, is to foster a more inclusive community by encouraging meaningful cross-cultural experiences for faculty, staff and students. Read a UBNow story about the program.

Last year, nearly 30 faculty and staff families opened their homes to international students. Organizers hope to double that number this year.

Faculty and staff interested in participating in the program can sign up online. The deadline to register is Nov. 4.

Organizers will match as many UB employees and international students as possible. Those who are chosen to participate will receive information about their students no later than Nov. 16.
