Pianist Stephen Manes has performed the entire set of 32 Beethoven piano sonatas at UB three times during a long and distinguished career as a faculty member and performer. He has returned to Slee Hall annually since his retirement from UB nearly a decade ago, performing a variety of intriguing programs to enthusiastic audiences.

This season, he returns on Sept. 9 to perform “a program of old favorites from my repertoire.” That concert, featuring the music of Mozart, Copland, Tchaikovsky and Schubert, takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall, North Campus.

Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for UB faculty/staff/alumni, seniors and non-UB students. Admission for UB students is free with a valid ID. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Center for the Arts box office, one hour before concert time at the Slee Hall box office or online at www.tickets.com.
