Fair to showcase sustainable ways of UB staff

Do you make your own soap or shampoo? Paper? Honey? Are you a woodworker? Perhaps you do your own bicycle maintenance or upcycle other people’s throwaways into great furniture.

If so, the Professional Staff Senate would like to showcase your sustainable efforts at this year’s Sustainable Living Fair.

The eighth annual fair, scheduled for Sept. 29, features dozens of community vendors offering ways to green your home, yard and office while reducing your environmental footprint. This year, the PSS’ Sustainable Living Committee would like to include UB employees in the mix.

Although vendors are not allowed to sell anything at the event, they may share their contact information with fair attendees. About 1,000 persons attend the fair every year.

Those who would like to take part are asked to fill out a Sustainability Registration Form by July 5 and provide information about the demonstration or presentation they would like to make at the fair.

For further information, or to discuss your proposal before registering, contact the PSS office at 645-2003 or pssenate@buffalo.edu and a member of the Sustainable Living Committee will get back to you.
