The Professional Staff Senate is seeking nominations of UB professional staff members to serve on the governance body representing professional staff at UB.

Since 1972, the PSS has represented professional employees in non-academic state positions, as well as exempt staff in the UB Foundation, the Research Foundation and the Faculty-Student Association.

PSS members advise on policies that direct and guide the university, and that directly impact work/life of professional staff. Serving as a senator also offers opportunities to gain institutional knowledge, meet and learn from colleagues in other units and departments across the university, and take part in professional development activities.

The PSS also is actively involved in numerous community outreach events, educational programming, staff development training and social activities and networking.
